Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how IF Media Inc. collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information through IF Media Connect.
1. Privacy Responsibility
IF Media Inc. is responsible for personal information under its control. We have designated a Privacy Officer to oversee privacy practices and respond to privacy requests.

2. Information You Provide
We may collect information you submit directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, profile details, portfolio media, location, company information, project briefs, proposals, messages, contracts, deliverables, reviews, support requests, dispute evidence, and payment or payout-related information.
Payment-card information is generally collected directly by Stripe and is not stored in full by IF Media Inc.
3. Creator and Verification Information
Creators may provide professional experience, service details, pricing, availability, languages, identity-verification information, certifications, insurance information, drone qualifications, tax information, and payout details.
We collect only information reasonably required for the applicable verification or platform purpose. Verification does not guarantee future conduct or continued validity of submitted information.
4. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the platform, we may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, actions taken, referral information, approximate location, session identifiers, authentication events, security logs, technical errors, performance information, and cookie preferences.
Optional analytics or marketing information is collected only where permitted by your consent settings and applicable law.
5. Information From Third Parties
We may receive payment status, email-delivery information, phone-verification results, fraud signals, authentication information, analytics data, technical reports, and information provided by another user during a project or dispute.
We use third-party information only for legitimate platform, legal, security, or business purposes.
6. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to create accounts, verify users, operate public profiles, publish projects, manage applications and hiring, create contracts, process payments and payouts, support communication, deliver notifications, provide support, investigate disputes, prevent fraud, secure the platform, improve performance, comply with legal duties, maintain records, and send permitted marketing communications.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Public Information
Public creator profiles may display a name, profile image, biography, general location, services, portfolio items, languages, reviews, trust indicators, social links selected for publication, and other information clearly identified as public.
Public pages may be indexed by search engines. Do not publish information you do not want publicly available.
8. Information Shared Between Users
When brands and creators interact, we may share information reasonably required for the project, including names, company details, proposals, messages, project records, deliverables, contracts, reviews, and relevant payment status.
Users must use this information only for lawful project and business purposes.
9. Service Providers
We use service providers for payment processing, hosting, file storage, email delivery, phone verification, security, fraud prevention, analytics, error monitoring, customer communication, marketing automation, and artificial-intelligence features.
Current providers may include Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Twilio, Google, Microsoft, VBOUT, Sentry, OpenAI, and hosting or infrastructure providers, but only where those services are actually enabled.
Providers may process information outside Alberta or Canada and may be subject to local laws.
10. Payment Information
Stripe processes payment-card information and transaction details. IF Media Inc. may retain transaction identifiers, amounts, payment status, refunds, chargebacks, invoices, payout records, and information required for accounting, tax, fraud, and dispute purposes.
The payout information collected depends on the payout method available to the creator.
11. Artificial-Intelligence Features
When a user chooses an AI feature, the prompt and relevant context may be sent to an AI service provider.
Users must not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identity numbers, another person’s sensitive information, confidential client information without authorization, or information prohibited by a project agreement.
AI conversations may be retained for security, support, quality, and abuse prevention according to the applicable feature and settings.
12. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication, security, consent storage, and core functionality. With consent, we may use analytics, session-replay, functional third-party content, and marketing-measurement technologies.

13. Communications
We send transactional communications required to operate accounts and projects, including verification, password reset, project, contract, payment, security, and support messages.
We may send marketing messages where permitted. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing does not disable necessary account or project communications.
14. Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, protect users or the public, investigate incidents, respond to payment disputes, defend claims, or support a business transaction involving IF Media Inc.
We limit disclosures to what is reasonably necessary.
15. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this Policy and for legal, tax, accounting, security, contractual, or dispute requirements.
Account information is retained while an account is active. Project, contract, and financial records may be retained longer. Closed-account data is deleted, anonymized, or restricted when no longer required, and backups are removed through scheduled rotation.
A deletion request may not result in immediate deletion of information we must lawfully retain.
16. Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, which may include encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls, session protection, authentication monitoring, restricted administrative access, secure cloud storage, logs, alerts, backups, and vendor security controls.
No system is completely secure. Users must also protect their passwords and devices.
17. Privacy Incidents
We investigate suspected loss, unauthorized access, or unauthorized disclosure of personal information.
Where required by law, we will notify the appropriate privacy regulator and affected individuals of a qualifying breach.
Contact us promptly if you believe information has been compromised.
18. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, information about use, withdrawal of consent for optional uses, account closure, deletion of eligible information, or review of a privacy concern.
We may verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be withheld or retained where permitted or required by law.
19. Complaints
Send privacy complaints to our Privacy Officer at support@ifmedia.ca. We will review the concern and respond within a reasonable period.
You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
20. Children’s Privacy
IF Media Connect accounts are intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts.
Content involving minors may appear in legitimate creative work only where required permissions and legal requirements have been satisfied.
21. International Users
IF Media Connect is operated from Alberta, Canada. Users outside Canada understand that their information may be processed in Canada and other countries where service providers operate.
Additional rights may apply depending on location.
22. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes.
Where required, we will request renewed consent.
