• Profile information: bio, location, creator type, portfolio media
• Company information (for brand accounts)
• Banking or payout details (collected and held by Stripe — we don't store card numbers)
• Messages sent through the platform
• Deliverables and files you upload

• IP address and browser type
• Pages visited and actions taken on the platform
• Device information
• Session data and cookies (see our Cookie Policy)

Information from third parties

• Payment confirmation and status from Stripe
• Analytics data from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Match creators with brand projects
• Process payments and payouts
• Send transactional emails (project updates, contracts, payment confirmations)
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud or policy violations
• Improve the platform through analytics
• Send platform news and feature updates (you can opt out at any time)

We don't sell your personal information. We don't use it for advertising on third-party platforms without your consent.

6. Email Communications

We send two types of emails:

• Transactional emails: Required account and project emails (contract signed, payment received, etc.). These cannot be turned off while your account is active.
• Marketing emails: Platform updates, new features, and creator digests. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email footer.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we're legally required to keep records (e.g., financial transaction records required under Canadian tax law, which we retain for 7 years).

8. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and PIPA (Alberta), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent to non-essential data use
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Complaint — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted storage, HTTPS, and session-based authentication. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card numbers or bank details on our servers.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Children's Privacy

IF Media Connect is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered on the platform, please contact us so we can remove the account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date and notify registered users by email for material changes.
